INTERPOL, por mucho que sea esencial para tratar de combatir la delincuencia y el terrorismo a escala mundial, ha sido objeto de duras cr\u00edticas en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, dada la forma en que su sistema de \"notificaciones rojas\" y \"notificaciones sobre difusi\u00f3n\" ha sido objeto de manipulaci\u00f3n por parte de quienes tratan de atacar a enemigos pol\u00edticos e ideol\u00f3gicos, por ejemplo, el Gobierno de Egipto que persigue a opositores pol\u00edticos.<\/p>\n

El riesgo de manipulaci\u00f3n es ahora a\u00fan mayor, dado el anuncio en marzo de 2017 de que hab\u00eda aceptado una contribuci\u00f3n de 50 millones de euros de los Emiratos \u00c1rabes Unidos, un Estado conocido por su falta de respeto a los derechos humanos, su voluntad de ignorar las libertades fundamentales y su inclinaci\u00f3n a perseguir a los opositores o detractores pol\u00edticos a trav\u00e9s de un sistema judicial nacional que, de hecho, se ha convertido en un arma m\u00e1s de la opresi\u00f3n estatal.<\/p>\n

Se acepta que la donaci\u00f3n se hizo a la \"Fundaci\u00f3n para un mundo m\u00e1s seguro\" de INTERPOL, una organizaci\u00f3n que se describe como \"independiente\" de las funciones esenciales de INTERPOL, pero el hecho es que sigue formando parte de INTERPOL y, por lo tanto, no puede estar libre de inferencia.<\/p>\n

Conviene examinar su estructura de financiaci\u00f3n y si existe la posibilidad de manipulaci\u00f3n o de que se deduzca la misma.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, los sistemas de INTERPOL de notificaciones rojas y de difusi\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n merecen ser examinados, habida cuenta de las cr\u00edticas ya formuladas, y de la necesidad de proceder a su revisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
