Side-event held during the 38th session of the Human Rights Council focusing on the United Arab Emirates’ use of torture and other cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment against women detained in prisons. The panel consider both the issues and problems facing women in the UAE prisons as well as domestic and international remedies to address these human rights violations.
