Ben Keith, co-founder of International Human Rights Advisors, has commented in The Mirror on 14 March 2026 on reports of British nationals leaving Dubai amid growing concerns about legal and security risks in the region.
Speaking in coverage of the issue, Keith highlighted the importance the authorities place on maintaining the emirate’s international reputation.
“They want to show that the UAE is safe for foreign tourists and workers,” he said. “They do not want to show any images of the missiles getting through. They will do anything to protect the image of Dubai.”
Keith has represented numerous foreign nationals facing legal difficulties in the United Arab Emirates, including cases involving detention, travel bans, and criminal complaints linked to financial disputes.
The cases highlighted in recent reporting underline the complex legal environment that expatriates may encounter in the UAE. Keith and the team at International Human Rights Advisors regularly advise individuals navigating cross-border legal challenges, particularly where criminal proceedings, financial disputes, or restrictions on movement intersect with international human rights concerns.
