Rhys Davies and Ben Keith Shortlisted for International Bar Association Pro Bono Award
Rhys Davies and Ben Keith have both been shortlisted for the IBA Pro Bono Award 2025, recognising his outstanding commitment to pro bono work.
The International Bar Association (IBA) Pro Bono Committee honours lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to pro bono work. Rhys and Ben are two of seven candidates shortlisted globally for this year’s award.
The award is supported by LexisNexis and represents international recognition of excellence in pro bono legal services.
Rhys and Ben were jointly named International Pro Bono Barrister of the Year award in November 2021, by Advocate, the England and Wales Bar’s national pro bono charity.
The IBA Pro Bono Committee’s mission is to support the promotion of pro bono work globally through implementation of the IBA Pro Bono Declaration and the exchange of information and best practice. Pro bono work serves as a cornerstone of the legal profession and a crucial vehicle for access to justice where legal aid systems may be insufficient.
Their nominations reflects their extensive work in international human rights law, they have worked jointly on numerous submissions to the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention and UN Special Rapporteurs, Global Magnitsky Sanctions submissions to governments in the UK, US, and Canada applications to the European Court of Human Rights, African Commission of Human and People’s Rights.
